Due to strong dealer demand, Entel has invested in the development of Bluetooth technology for use with its Series 2.0 HX400 portables. This will allow Entel radios to interface with a multitude of Bluetooth accessories, offering clear, secure and comfortable wireless communications.
Entel's Bluetooth wireless communications can be added to the Series 2.0 HX400 portables by means of a compact Bluetooth certified dongle, which allows users to operate their radios from a distance of up to 10 metres.
There are three Bluetooth products available from Entel as packages or separate items:
- A Bluetooth certified dongle which fits securely to the HX radio's accessory socket
- A Bluetooth certified earpiece with long boom microphone, which has been carefully designed to provide excellent audio clarity
- An optional Bluetooth wireless remote PTT unit for covert applications etc.
If the radio is switched off, or if the operating range of 10 metres is exceeded during operation, the pairing between the Bluetooth speaker microphone and the wireless dongle is quickly re-established automatically when the radio is switched back on, or the Bluetooth headset comes within range again.
Opening up new applications in the marketplace and new sales opportunities to Entel dealers, the addition of Bluetooth accessories to Entel's Series 2.0 HX400 radios brings yet another dimension to this range of portables already renowned for its versatility.
