The Italian fire brigades' governing body, the National Fire Corps, has taken delivery of its first firmware-customised, advanced signalling Entel HT715 and HT785 radios, after a rigorous selection and development process. The Corpo Nazionale dei Vigili del Fuoco (CNVVF) had complex scanning and selcall requirements, together with specific functionality they wanted assigned to programmable keys. It operates its own radio network and has 35,000 operational units across the whole of Italy.

Peruvian dealer, Marco Peruana (Callao), has won the tender to supply Entel HT644 VHF marine radios, to TASA, the world's largest supplier of fish and fish–based products. The South American fisheries giant, which operates 16 state–of–the–art processing plants, and has 91 vessels operating out of 10 ports on the Peruvian coast, was looking for a radio that could guarantee reliable marine communications in all conditions at sea. Total E&P Indonesia selects Entel ATEX MPT1327

E&P’s head office in Jakarta has purchased Entel’s trunking HT886T ATEX full keypad model for its oil and gas operations in Indonesia.

The client, supplied by Team Simoco UK, needed an I.S. radio product that was compatible with TeamSimoco MPT1327 infrastructure, but also required a durable radio that offered submersibility.

Before investing, officials from Total – the world’s fifth largest producer of oil and gas – conducted their own trials of the the Entel HT886T alongside equivalent I.S. portables offered by Tait and Motorola. Thanks to its build quality and its high capacity Lithium–Ion battery offering intelligent battery communications, the the Entel HT886T eventually emerged as the front runner.

Jordan’s Port of Aqaba has invested in Entel’s HT800 ATEX–certified radios, in the next stage of its show–case development and modernisation plan.

Supplied by Entel’s Jordanian dealer, Munir Sukhtain, the Aqaba Port Marine Services company (APMS) is seeking to develop Aqaba, located at the northern tip of the Red Sea, into the region’s port of choice for commercial and passenger traffic. Largest Czech Oil Company Invests in Entel HT926

The Czech Republic’s largest oil company, Unipetrol, has become the latest petrochemical company to invest in Entel’s ATEX radios, opting for the HT926 VHF full keypad selcall model for its three main refineries.

The radios were supplied via VH–Com, Entel’s authorised dealership based in Prague.

The Entels were chosen in preference to Motorola because of their unique IP68 submersibility rating and in recognition of their build quality, designed to give many years of reliable, problem–free, two–way communications. In addition to the radios, Unipetrol also invested in bone conductive audio accessories, including throat microphones and skull microphones.
