The Italian fire brigades' governing body, the National Fire Corps, has taken delivery of its first firmware-customised, advanced signalling Entel HT715 and HT785 radios, after a rigorous selection and development process. The Corpo Nazionale dei Vigili del Fuoco (CNVVF) had complex scanning and selcall requirements, together with specific functionality they wanted assigned to programmable keys. It operates its own radio network and has 35,000 operational units across the whole of Italy.

The Borsodchem Group is one of Hungary’s most successful and biggest chemical production companies and the latest large-scale industrial operation to invest in Entel’s intrinsically safe HT900 range of ATEX radios. The group supplies a number of specialist products including isocyanates, PVC resins, specialised chemicals and petrochemicals. These products, in turn, are widely used in Europe’s polyurethane and PVC products.

Supplied by authorised Bahrainian Entel dealer, UCO, the HX485's will be integral to ASRY's commitment to remain at the forefront of shipbuilding, whilst guaranteeing the highest standards of safety for its hundreds of employees and contractors.

Via Bartec-Hungary, an authorised dealer in Budapest, Entel has made a significant breakthrough in supplying a major player in Central Europe’s pharmaceutical industry. The Entel HT952 ATEX PMR446 radio was selected for the EGIS Nyrt group of companies, which continually develops, tests and supplies almost 2,500 medicinal products to the eastern and western European markets.

Via Eurosul, an authorised dealer in Brazil, Entel has made a significant breakthrough in supplying a major player in the Brazilian off–shore oil and gas industry. The Entel HT649 GMDSS handheld survival craft radio is to be used by Petrobras, the largest oil exploration company in Brazil – and the third largest in the world – for its fleet of vessels.

Peruvian dealer, Marco Peruana (Callao), has won the tender to supply Entel HT644 VHF marine radios, to TASA, the world's largest supplier of fish and fish–based products. The South American fisheries giant, which operates 16 state–of–the–art processing plants, and has 91 vessels operating out of 10 ports on the Peruvian coast, was looking for a radio that could guarantee reliable marine communications in all conditions at sea. After conducting their own rigorous tests, it came down to just two models, the Entel HT644 and a well–known competitor model. Recognising the Entel HT644's superior build quality, comprehensive range of accessories and competitive price, Marco Peruana was able to put the Entel forward, confidently – and win the tender to supply.

E&P’s head office in Jakarta has purchased Entel’s trunking HT886T ATEX full keypad model for its oil and gas operations in Indonesia.

The client, supplied by Team Simoco UK, needed an I.S. radio product that was compatible with TeamSimoco MPT1327 infrastructure, but also required a durable radio that offered submersibility.

Before investing, officials from Total – the world’s fifth largest producer of oil and gas – conducted their own trials of the the Entel HT886T alongside equivalent I.S. portables offered by Tait and Motorola. Thanks to its build quality and its high capacity Lithium–Ion battery offering intelligent battery communications, the the Entel HT886T eventually emerged as the front runner.

Jordan’s Port of Aqaba has invested in Entel’s HT800 ATEX–certified radios, in the next stage of its show–case development and modernisation plan.

Supplied by Entel’s Jordanian dealer, Munir Sukhtain, the Aqaba Port Marine Services company (APMS) is seeking to develop Aqaba, located at the northern tip of the Red Sea, into the region’s port of choice for commercial and passenger traffic. The Entel radios will be used aboard its own fleet of state–of–the–art tugs and support vessels and were chosen by their procurement officers for their rugged dependability and submersibility.

The Czech Republic’s largest oil company, Unipetrol, has become the latest petrochemical company to invest in Entel’s ATEX radios, opting for the HT926 VHF full keypad selcall model for its three main refineries.

Via dealership Two–Two–Eight, an authorised dealer in Vietnam, Entel has made a major breakthrough in supplying the Vietnamese oil industry, traditionally more inclined to use products and services from the former Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation. The HT844 intrinsically safe VHF marine radio is to be used on vessels servicing the rigs and transporting crude oil in the South China Sea.

The Nigerian oil and gas exploration arm of Techint, an Italian multinational corporation, is the latest on–shore/off-shore company to standardise on the Entel HT series 2.0 submersibles for its operations in West Africa.

Entel’s authorised dealer in Austria, Sigl Funk, has won a contract to supply three of the country’s Fire & Rescue Services with Entel HT715 radios. They will standardise on Entel portables after a rigorous selection process was completed earlier this year. The mid–band (66–88 MHz) radios impressed with their audio clarity and rugged commercial grade build quality – ideal for the toughest environments.

Austria’s National Cave Rescue Organisation, based in Salzburg, is always looking to improve and upgrade its rescue services in the Austrian resort. So it is no surprise that when it came to revising its communications strategy, they opted for the submersible Entel HT723S VHF selcall model which offers a ruggedly robust solution for just such a demanding application.

Galp Energy, Portugal’s recently privatised oil and gas corporation, has opted for Entel’s HT900 Series 2.0 ATEX handheld portables for its extensive domestic operations. Supplied via Entel’s authorised dealership, Debex, in Lisbon, the HT982 radios were subjected to rigorous field trials alongside equivalent ATEX radios from other major manufacturers.

Yemen LNG, a fast-growing supplier of liquefied natural gas, is the latest Middle East company to purchase Entel’s ATEX radios. Supplied via AZ Communications, an authorised Entel dealership based in the country, the Government-backed company recently took delivery of Entel’s ATEX marine VHF portables for use at its port facility at Balhaf in the Gulf of Aden.

One of India’s largest shipbuilding companies, Bharati Shipyards Limited, has purchased its first consignment of Entel HT883 ATEX IIA radios. These hand portables were each supplied together with the CXR5⁄950 skull–microphone accessory, via A.S. Moloobhoy & Sons, an authorised Entel dealer based in Mumbai.

ENI Italy, one of Europe's largest energy companies, has invested in Entel's Series 2.0 HT900 ATEX radios. One of Italy's largest and most successful companies, ENI is involved in the exploration, production, transportation and marketing of oil and natural gas worldwide. The company is active in 70 countries and employs around 79,000 people.

In July 2009, the Romanian Coastal Rescue Services took the decision to upgrade their lifeguard services to EU standards, coordinating their activities nationwide in order to help develop the country's tourism.

London's 5-star Ritz Hotel has become the latest prestigious West End hotel to standardise on the Entel HX400 Series 2.0 portables for its on-site communications.

Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has just announced the purchase of almost 300 Entel HT640 VHF marine portables, to help manage this strategic trade route of international importance.

The Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) is the latest financial institution to rely on Entel’s HX400 series of radios for its security operations. With a proven track record in the supply of intrinsically safe ATEX products, Entel is proud to have been associated with this year’s Isle of Man TT Races. Through Integrated Radio Systems, one of Entel’s key dealerships, Klaffi Alfa Boilers Honda Team, represented by competing rider Martin Finnegan, hired HT920 ATEX radios together with CHP900D ear-defending headsets. The races are held over a fortnight each May/June and involve top motorcyclists racing round the island’s world-famous 37.5 mile TT circuit.

The Entel HX400 series of radios has long been a favourite among security personnel for its compact size, its reliability and its built in scrambling function, so it comes as no surprise that the HX400 is the radio of choice for the security men guarding Channel 4’s Big Brother House at Elstree Studios.

Via one its dealerships, Entel has supplied HT640 radios to the Southbourne/ Bournemouth Surf Life Saving Unit, a registered charity located on the south coast. The unit’s trained life savers purchased their rescue boat with the aid of a Lottery grant in 1998 but needed a reliable and fully submersible VHF marine radio to co-ordinate rescue missions.
