The Syrian Gas Company (SGC), has opted to purchase the Entel HT900 Series 2.0 ATEX hand portables, beating off stiff competition from other leading brands. In the end, though, only two manufacturers, Entel and Motorola, were able to offer the build quality and specifications demanded by this prestigious company. Up against a more established brand, the Entels won through on being fully submersible and their durable, quality feel.

Entel’s submersible HT926 VHF full keypad model, supplied via Amman–based dealership, Munir Sukhrain Group, offered exactly the ATEX IIC/ T4 specifications with DTMF feature that the client was looking for, all housed in a cabinet that still manages to look good while offering rugged dependable build quality, as well as further protection owing to its submersibility rating. The fact that the UK Fire & Rescue Services have standardised on the Entel HT Series radios since 2006 also boosted the end-user’s confidence in this product.
