Entel HT940 ATEX ATIS

Overview Features Accessories Technical Specification

Entel's HT940 ATEX certified and fully submersible marine radio but with the benifit of ATIS. ATIS stands for Automatic Transmitter Identification System. This system is used in inland water ways in various countries in mainland Europe. At the end of every transmission the radio sends out a unique FFSK data signal which contains the user or ships unique call sign, this is monitored by marine coast stations. The unique and advanced HT940 ATIS conforms to all aspects of the European ATEX Directive. It further exceeds the ATEX requirements by being completely submersible to 5 metres depth for up to one hour - all other radios in this class are merely splash proof. The HT940 ATIS has a unique conductive polymer enclosure negating the need to use a conductive carry case. In the harsh world of maritime high-risk environments why compromise?

Overview Features Accessories Technical Specification
Intrinsically Safe Radios for use in the potentially explosive environments of oil and gas installations, such as tankers or drilling platforms, or in gas-laden atmospheres encountered by the emergency services etc must be designed and constructed to be totally safe. Compliance with the ATEX Directive is now a legal requirement in all European Union Member States. Only portable radios type approved to the ATEX Directive are regarded as intrinsically safe in EU/EFTA countries.
Note: This also applies to mobile offshore units, and seagoing vessels that weigh less than 500 gross tonnes.
Submersible At Entel we pride ourselves on engineering our transceivers to the highest specification necessary to protect against the likely hazards encountered in any field of operation. This is why our HT940 ATIS conforms to European Standard IP68 withstanding total immersion in water to a depth of 5 metres for 60 minutes - giving you total protection and peace of mind.
Ergonomic Rubber side grips make the HT940 ATIS radio easy to grip with wet, cold or gloved hands. The HT940 ATIS is also fitted with an indispensable high visibility display.
Built For Hostile Environments HT940 ATIS radio is unique in offering such a full specification. It is built without compromise to deliver superb, consistent performance in the most hostile environments encountered at sea.
Powerful Delivers a maximum of four watts RF power, switchable to one watt low power should you wish to conserve battery life.
Commercial Grade Construction Meeting MIL STD 810C/D/E rating for tough, enduring performance, the HT940 ATIS radio conforms to stringent standards, enabling it to withstand the every day rigours of shock, vibration and the corrosive action of dust and moisture, ensuring many years of trouble free use even in a salt water environment.
