HT940 Intrinsically Safe ATEX, ATIS Radio

Entel's HT940 ATEX certified and fully submersible marine radio but with the benifit of ATIS. ATIS stands for Automatic Transmitter Identification System. This system is used in inland water ways in various countries in mainland Europe. At the end of every transmission the radio sends out a unique FFSK data signal which contains the user or ships unique call sign, this is monitored by marine coast stations. The unique and advanced HT940 ATIS conforms to all aspects of the European ATEX Directive. It further exceeds the ATEX requirements by being completely submersible to 5 metres depth for up to one hour - all other radios in this class are merely splash proof. The HT940 ATIS has a unique conductive polymer enclosure negating the need to use a conductive carry case. In the harsh world of maritime high-risk environments why compromise?

Intrinsically Safe	Radios for use in the potentially explosive environments of oil and gas installations, such as tankers or drilling platforms, or in gas-laden atmospheres encountered by the emergency services etc must be designed and constructed to be totally safe. Compliance with the ATEX Directive is now a legal requirement in all European Union Member States. Only portable radios type approved to the ATEX Directive are regarded as intrinsically safe in EU/EFTA countries. Note: This also applies to mobile offshore units, and seagoing vessels that weigh less than 500 gross tonnes.
