An all round web developer is needed to maintain and develop inhouse intranet systems as well as update and develop the company website. The applicant must be an excellent communicator, a problem solver and have a good grasp of developing web applications.

Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for managing a large workload, and day to day responsibilities will also include liaising with managers in order to improve the efficiency of the current systems and business processes.

We use Windows as our operating system of choice, but the operating system you use is not a deciding factor.

Role: Your role, as part of a close-knit team, will be to establish relationships with radio dealers in overseas markets. You will need to be self-motivated and be able to actively promote Entel's full product portfolio (full training will be given on products, but a background in radio communications industry is essential).

Highly organised, you will be able to conduct methodical research into local markets, identify Entel's main competitors, position our products advantageously within those markets, and build ongoing business relationships which will involve overseas travel.

We currently have a vacancy for a Hardware Engineer to join our expanding technical team, based at our UK premises in Borehamwood. The position will involve hardware development of Entel's communication product ranges, as well as integration and fault investigation. The successful applicant will also undertake design solutions to improve reliability and enhance the capability of our products.

Main responsibilities

• Electronic hardware development from requirement specification to acceptance testing
• Contributing to overall project planning and review activities
• Providing technical reports, as required

The successful applicant must be able to:

• Understand RF/ IF, Microwave and/or digital and analogue circuits
• Use general purpose test equipment and measure/ identify relevant signals
• Follow and understand technical literature
• Produce technical documentation
• Fault find and diagnose to component level
• Solder and work with SMD components

Acadamic qualifications:

'A' levels/ HND in Numerate or Electronic Engineering based subject

It will also be desirable if the applicant has knowledge of:

CAD/ CAE processes to identify improvements to products and processes used

Experience:

The applicant must have a minimum of 2 years' consecutive experience of build and test relating to VHF/ UHF equipment.  It would also be an advantage if the applicant has practical experience in RF/ IF or Mixed Signal layout and design, as well as an understanding of RF technology and evaluation techniques.  A good understanding of CAD/ EDA tools is desirable, but not essential.
