Austrian Fire Brigades Choose Entel HT715 (66–88 MHz)
Entel’s authorised dealer in Austria, Sigl Funk, has won a contract to supply three of the country’s Fire & Rescue Services with Entel HT715 radios. They will standardise on Entel portables after a rigorous selection process was completed earlier this year. The mid–band (66–88 MHz) radios impressed with their audio clarity and rugged commercial grade build quality – ideal for the toughest environments.
The Austrian Fire & Rescue services in Saalfelden, Lamprechtshausen and Zell am See all enjoy a high degree of autonomy and are just the latest emergency services in Europe and elsewhere to adopt the Entel HT series as standard issue.
Ali Irteza, Entel’s Export Business Development Manager who secured the deal with Sigl Funk, said: "The mid-band (66–88 MHz) HT715 radios offered the 5–tone capability demanded by the Austrian Fire Brigades, which allows additional safety features like lone worker and man down. The large illuminated LCD screen was also regarded as an addition benefit in the kind of hazardous rescue operations undertaken by the three brigades".
The Austrian brigades’ decision to purchase the Entels follows other dealer–serviced contracts to supply Entel radios to Fire & Rescue services, from the Far East to here in Europe. In the UK, the dealer–serviced FireBuy contract – which has standardised on Entel since 2006 – has recently been renewed for a further 3 years. These radios are now proven and going from strength to strength, recognised as offering value for money with no compromise on build quality.
