Davao del Sur Provincial Government has selected Entel as its supplier of choice in the provision of critical communications two way radios. In 2014 the Government initiated a project around disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, and put in place measures to avoid or mitigate risks to the lives and properties of their citizens and improve the flow and holding capacities of waterways and drainage systems. With this in mind they were tasked with updating and improving their communications systems with the additional prerequisite for them to withstand submersion
During the selection process, the dealer Davao Domart presented 2 models for the customer’s consideration – the HT722 and the HT723 – these were compared to numerous other brands that the customer was already using throughout its different municipalities. The HT700 series of radios are from an established generation of commercial grade portables, and are designed to operate in the most hostile environments and with its exceptionally loud audio and submersible quality.
After rigorous testing, the customer selected the HT722 model and noted that they were particularly impressed with the durable feel of the product and the crystal clear audio. They feel confident the HT722 models will deliver exceptional performance and will be a valuable addition to the Disaster and Risk Reduction Management programme.
