Philippine Army
Two leading models in the award winning Entel handset range, the HT712 and HT722 have been selected as the two way radios of choice for use by The Philippine Army. The Army has implemented an Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR), an 18 year transformation and governance program to create a more dynamic, more capable, and more professional Army committed to performance excellence. Communications of course will play an essential role in the transformation.
The HT712 and HT722 handsets are entry level, cost effective, commercial grade portables designed to operate in the most hostile environments. The models are easy to use, yet highly specified, offering features such as channel scanning and local personal attach alarm.
Previously using a competitor product, The Philippine Army worked with the local Entel dealer, Trilink Technologies, to conduct rigorous trials. The army had identified that the handsets had to be submersible to a high standard, so testing included rigorous submersion tests in a salt water pool.
The officers involved in the testing commented that the handset was durable and robust, a handset that they could rely on even in the harshest of conditions and perfectly matched their stringent set of criteria.
