South America's Largest Fishing Fleet Adopts HT644
Peruvian dealer, Marco Peruana (Callao), has won the tender to supply Entel HT644 VHF marine radios, to TASA, the world's largest supplier of fish and fish–based products. The South American fisheries giant, which operates 16 state–of–the–art processing plants, and has 91 vessels operating out of 10 ports on the Peruvian coast, was looking for a radio that could guarantee reliable marine communications in all conditions at sea. After conducting their own rigorous tests, it came down to just two models, the Entel HT644 and a well–known competitor model. Recognising the Entel HT644's superior build quality, comprehensive range of accessories and competitive price, Marco Peruana was able to put the Entel forward, confidently – and win the tender to supply.
TASA has a commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and technological excellence. Everything they do and purchase must not only meet their own exacting standards, but conform to the strict certification of the markets they export to, predominantly in Europe and Asia. Here, again, the Entel HT644 was recognised as meeting the highest international criteria, as well as fitting in with the company's ethos of responsibility to its employees and the marine environment. Commercially speaking, clear, reliable communications are vital to the whole operation, as with such a perishable commodity as fish stocks, efficiency and fast turn–around times are essential to guarantee quality is maintained.
Entel is already recognised as a leading manufacturer of dedicated marine radios, with its VHF, UHF, intrinsically safe and GMDSS portables already widely used by major cargo and tanker fleets worldwide – in fact, its GMDSS portable, the HT649, is the only non–Japanese GMDSS radio authorised for use in Japanese waters. Now, with this major breakthrough in the South American market, our dealers in that region can confidently predict sales growth by promoting Entel against competitor brands in their own territories.
