Top Hungarian Chemical Company Invests in Entel HT900 ATEX
The Borsodchem Group is one of Hungary’s most successful and biggest chemical production companies and the latest large-scale industrial operation to invest in Entel’s intrinsically safe HT900 range of ATEX radios. The group supplies a number of specialist products including isocyanates, PVC resins, specialised chemicals and petrochemicals. These products, in turn, are widely used in Europe’s polyurethane and PVC products.
Priding itself on safety and environmental responsibility, the client’s brief to the Budapest-based Bartec-Hungary radio dealership, was that the health and safety of their workforce is always paramount, so there could be no compromise on the quality and reliability of its site communications. Furthermore, they insisted upon on-site trials to determine which intrinsically safe handheld portables were the most suitable for their operation. After safety and reliability, the radios had to be of demonstrable durability to justify the proposed investment
After field trials at the plant, involving competitors' radios alongside the Entels, Bartec-Hungary selected the submersible HT922 model, which won through on the basis of its tough commercial grade construction and reliability, while its submersibility and modern, reliable lithium-ion battery technology also impressed, easily out-performing competitor brands in the field.
