London’s 5-star Ritz Hotel has become the latest prestigious West End hotel to standardise on the Entel HX400 Series 2.0 portables for its on-site communications.
Attention to detail has always been the hotel’s hallmark since its founder, Cesar Ritz, began construction in 1905. Now a little over 100 years old, the hotel’s old world charm and antique French style, belies the leading edge technology and design of its construction, from the building’s steel-frame construction – a rarity in European buildings at that time – through to the way that light wells allow even internal rooms to benefit from natural daylight. But while the technology had to be up-to-date and function reliably, Cesar Ritz always insisted it was unobtrusive to his guests.
Likewise, the all-new Entel HX400 Series 2.0 portables, also benefit from the painstaking attention to detail that went into their design. The latest Lithium-Ion battery technology offers the additional advantages of battery charge-cycle count and expiration warnings, for example. And the die-cast metal chassis and twin-board construction, concealed in the tough polymer housing tested to Mil-Std 810C/D/E&F, is ergonomically designed and conveniently pocket sized – which means from the basement offices to the roof-top suites, the Ritz Hotel’s internal communications can be as discreet, as they are clear and reliable.
The HX400 Series 2.0 radios have long been popular with those who want a reliable two-way radio that is compact and lightweight, yet robust and reliable. It’s strength lies in its ability to adapt to changing demands – the radio can be as simple, or as feature-rich as you need it to be, whether you need a straight-forward back-to-back system, or selective calling models offering up to 255 user contacts, plus safety options like Lone Worker and Man Down.
