National Trust puts its trust in Entel Series 2.0

National Trust puts its trust in Entel Series 2.0

The National Trust, custodian of Britain’s outstanding architectural and natural heritage sites, has selected Entel series 2.0 radios for use at several of its unique properties.

At Cragside, in Northumberland, the former home of pioneering Victorian inventor, Lord Armstrong, the series 2.0 HT700 radios fit in well alongside the gadgets and innovations he originally installed for his staff, ensuring the property’s security and the safety of guides and visitors alike. Just like the house itself – the first to be powered by hydro-electric power – the HT700 handheld portables used by today’s staff, incorporate modern innovation and design excellence, using the latest Lithium–Ion battery technology, including features like battery charge cycle count and expiry warning, as well as tough, commercial grade construction that can withstand the rigours of life on the estate.

At Quarry Mill, too, a showpiece of water-powered 19th century industrial endeavour, the National Trust again selected the HT700 series 2.0 radios, impressed by their unique IP68 submersibility (waterproof to a depth of 5 meters for up to 1 hour), so no problem if they encounter the sprinkler systems in the extensive gardens, or even fall into the mill race!

Elsewhere, the Trust has found that the Entel HX400 series 2.0 provides flexible communication solutions, whether its managing a constantly changing programme of exhibitions and events at Nunnington Hall in Yorkshire, or coordinating a wedding at the 18th century Castle Ward in Northern Ireland. The advantage of the HX400 radios, is the way this powerful, compact series, can be flash upgraded to allow new features and dealer programmable options, as they become available, or as they are needed. So, whether the Trust needs a lone worker option, a panic alarm button with remote alert, or the facility to track staff movements inside one of its properties, Entel radios lend the custodians of our past a high degree of future-proofing too.
