Entel continually looks for solutions to drive efficiency and work more effectively; its latest initiative has seen the introduction of company Segways at its manufacturing plant in Manila, Philippines.

Entel, a leading Global designer and manufacturer of business critical radio communications, introduced the unusual transport system earlier this year in a bid to improve the factory’s efficiency.

Metin Pallenberg, Managing Director at Entel comments “We are always looking at ways to further improve our systems and processes in all aspects of the business across the entire Entel Group. In the early part of 2015 we undertook an audit looking specifically at our Supply Chain departments; as a result of this we have rolled out a number of initiatives and this is the latest.”

“We felt this was a great solution to enable our key personnel to be more mobile and move around our large manufacturing site in Manila in a quicker, more efficient way” he added.
