Operating for over two decades, Entel is firmly established as one of the leading manufacturers in the radio communications industry. To help meet the demands of an aggressive product roadmap, a second R&D facility was founded in central Cambridge earlier this year. The new location will make it possible for Entel to take advantage of the wealth of skills and talent available in this technology hub.

Running in parallel with the existing Elstree based R&D team, the Cambridge centre will enable an accelerated release of new products to market including some exciting new technologies. The facility is headed up by Dzenan Omanovic, who takes forward an established track-record in radio communications from his previous role at Cambridge-based Sepura. Dzenan comments: “Our new R&D centre is extremely well positioned here in Cambridge. We are building a team of highly-talented individuals to deliver on Entel’s ambitious R&D roadmap. I am very excited about the expansion and Entel’s future.”

The increased R&D capacity and skill base form a springboard to build substantially on Entel’s global footprint by driving forward product sales in key market areas. Dzenan highlights the potential for growth: “As a completely independent company, with fully integrated R&D, design and manufacture, we are extremely well poised. The possibilities for growth in a global market are significant.”
