What’s so special about the new HX400 Series?
They are a perfect example of “one size fits all”. Without doubt, the HX400 Series is the lowest cost high quality portable on the market that can be configured to meet almost any LMR application. For example; if you currently operate a conventional back-to-back radio system, but the future expansion of your business is likely to require a more sophisticated system, incorporating selective calling or other advanced features, the HX400 Series can simply be re-programmed without the need to purchase new portable handsets. Simply put, they can be described as “future proof!”
How do they compare with competitors’ models?
To start with, the new HX400 Series is packaged with the latest Lithium-Ion battery technology, which offers a huge battery capacity with no memory effect problems and has dealer programmable features comparable to the high end models in our competitors’ range.
Our competitors offer several different portables, starting with the most basic model which would have no display, no advanced features and be supplied with cheap undesirable NiCad or Ni-MH batteries which are known for their poor duty cycles and memory effect problems. Each additional model in their range will offer a few more features than the last, right up to the most advanced – with a hefty price tag to match!
What features will the new HX400 models offer?
Full selcall – so ideal for shop watch systems, shunting feature for trains, channel naming, lone worker, emergency call, built in scrambler… for full list, click here.
What if I’m looking for just a basic model?
No problem! All the buttons on the HX400 Series are programmable, so your dealer will simply program them off.

* Duty cycle of 12 hours

I’m buying current HX400 do I need to change chargers?
